Welcome to your first yoga class! This course has been carefully designed so that you may derive the maximum benefit from your experience. The following are some guidelines and suggestions that you will find useful in your practice of yoga.
What to bring to class
Please bring a yoga/pilates mat and any other props. Wear comfortable exercise clothing and dress in layers. Before starting your practice remove your shoes, wristwatch, belt and any jewelry that may interfere with your movements. Please refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes to class. Your classmates may have allergies and sensitivities to smells. Please eat lightly before class or you may wish to eat your meal after the class.
Please fill out the health history form and bring to the first class. It is important that I am aware of any health conditions such as high or low blood pressure, back problems, recent major surgery, pregnancy, etc. I will then be able to give you special guidance.
