Welcome to your first yoga class! This course has been carefully designed so that you may derive the maximum benefit from your experience.  The following are some guidelines and suggestions that you will find useful in your practice of yoga.

 

What to bring to class

Please bring a yoga/pilates mat and any other props.  Wear comfortable exercise clothing and dress in layers.  Before starting your practice remove your shoes, wristwatch, belt and any jewelry that may interfere with your movements.  Please refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes to class.  Your classmates may have allergies and sensitivities to smells.  Please eat lightly before class or you may wish to eat your meal after the class.

 

Health Considerations

Please fill out the health history form and bring to the first class.  It is important that we are aware of any health conditions such as high or low blood pressure, back problems, recent major surgery, pregnancy, etc. we will then be able to give you special guidance.

 

 

Yoga Class Tips and Etiquette

 

•Arriving.  Please honor your teacher and fellow classmates by arriving on time.  If you do arrive late and class has begun, please enter very quietly.

•Jewelry.  Before starting your practice remove your wristwatch, belt and any jewelry that may interfere with movement

•Scents.  Please refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes to class.  Your classmates may have allergies and sensitivities to smells.

•Quiet. Yoga is an inward journey.  Please keep casual conversation with your classmates to a minimum.  Please turn off mobile phones.

•Commitment. You are making a commitment to complete all your classes within the specified time period.  Your absence will affect your classmates and the teacher.  For your benefit, find a class that fits your schedule to create a consistent practice.

•Refunds and Missed classes.  There are no refunds.  If you should miss your regular class, you may take any yoga class that is offered.  Missed classes are not refundable or transferable.

•Snow Days.  In the event of bad weather, an email is sent to our customers or visit our website for cancellation announcement.

•Special Circumstances.  If special medical or family circumstances arise that prevent you from attending class and completing the package on time, please let us know.

•Drop-ins.  If you would like to try a class in any level you may take them at the drop-in rate, payable at the beginning of each class.
